DAY 1 PORTO (ARRIVAL) / DOURO WINE REGION

Upon arrival at Porto Airport, our driver/guide will welcome you and, over the course of six days, take you through the Douro wine region, one of the oldest demarcated wine regions in the world. We have prepared this trip to offer you a unique and exclusive itinerary through the Douro Valley, combining luxury accommodation with the most emblematic locations and memorable experiences. As this is only a suggestion, this tour can be adapted according to your wishes and expectations. Arrival at the hotel. Free time to rest. Accommodation in the Douro Valley.

DAY 2 DOURO WINE REGION

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, we set out to explore one of Portugal's most famous regions: the Douro Valley. It is an incredible region, full of colourful vineyards, breathtaking landscapes, a crystal-clear river and award-winning wines. In an exclusive vehicle with a Portuguese-speaking driver/guide, we travelled along one of Portugal's most beautiful roads, along the left bank of the Douro River. We then arrived in Pinhão. In this small village, enjoy the views of the imposing bridge and visit the small train station, covered in blue and yellow tiles that tell the story of Port wine production. Our day will end with a visit to two of the most famous Quintas (wineries) in the Douro Valley. Here, you can learn more about the current wine production process, with a tasting of the delicious wines produced there at the end. Accommodation in the Douro Valley.

DAY 3 CÔA VALLEY (UPPER DOURO)

After breakfast at the hotel, we will visit other tourist attractions in Portugal, such as the village of S. João da Pesqueira, considered the "heart of the Douro Wine Region" and home to what is probably the most impressive viewpoint in the entire Douro region, called São Salvador do Mundo. In Foz Côa, we can visit a winery in the heart of the Côa Valley Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, we can see the rock engravings of the Côa Valley, a rare concentration of rock art consisting of stone engravings dating from the Upper Palaeolithic period (22,000 - 10,000 BC). DAY 4 THURSDAY PORTO AND DOURO WINE PRODUCERS

On your last day visiting the Douro Wine Region, you can enjoy the most typical experiences that are sure to please you. We begin by visiting one of the most renowned Port wine producing estates, which has been awarded the "Best Of Wine Tourism" prize and offers impressive views, as it is surrounded by vineyard slopes that rise above the Douro River. After a delicious wine tasting, we head towards Pinhão, where we embark on a wonderful cruise on the Douro. Aboard a typical Rabelo boat, you can admire amazing landscapes that are impossible to see from the national roads. Finally, we return to Porto on an incredible and comfortable journey. DAY 5 PORTO, WORLD HERITAGE SITE

After a delicious breakfast, we begin our tour of the iconic city of Porto, Portugal's second largest city, whose history and development are closely linked to the Douro Wine Region. Located at the mouth of the Douro River, the city of Porto was a strategic point for the transport of Port wine. In the past, the Douro vineyards were hundreds of kilometres away from the ports. The solution was to transport the wine to Porto (crossing the Douro River), a city right next to the Atlantic Ocean, thus enabling the port wine barrels to be loaded onto boats for later export. With its exquisite architecture and scenery, a visit to this famous city is a must. During this tour, we will have the opportunity to visit the most important places in Porto, passing through its historic centre, notable streets, squares, ancient and modern monuments, gardens and much more. At the end, we will cross the imposing Luis I bridge to enjoy a delicious Port wine tasting in one of the most famous cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia. Accommodation in Porto.

DAY 6 RETURN

Breakfast served at the hotel. Private transfer to Porto Airport. End of our services.
