The combination of travel services offered to you constitutes a package tour within the meaning of Decree-Law No. 17/2018. Consequently, you will benefit from all EU rights applicable to package tours. Vitor Veiga is not responsible for the correct execution of the entire package tour. Furthermore, as required by law, the operators and organizers of the tours featured on these websites are affiliates. They are responsible for reimbursing the payments you have made and, if transportation is included in the organized trip, for ensuring your repatriation in the event of insolvency, this responsibility falling to the operators who provide and execute these services. Essential rights provided for in Decree-Law No. 17/2018 of March 8:

Travelers will receive all essential information about the organized trip before entering into the respective contract.

There is always at least one operator responsible for the correct execution of all travel services included in the contract.

Travelers have an emergency telephone number or the contact details of a contact point to communicate with the organizer or travel agency.

Travelers may transfer the organized trip to another person, with reasonable prior notice and, possibly, upon payment of additional costs.

The price of the organized trip may only be increased in the event of an increase in specific costs (for example, the price of fuel), if this possibility is expressly provided for in the contract and, in any case, up to 20 days before the start of the trip. Organized trip. If the price increase exceeds 8% of the organized trip price, the traveler may cancel the contract. If the organizer reserves the right to increase the price, the traveler is entitled to a price reduction if the relevant costs are reduced. Travelers may cancel the contract without paying a cancellation fee and obtain a full refund of any payments made in the event of a significant change to any of the essential elements of the organized trip, with the exception of the price. If, before the start of the organized trip, the tour operator cancels it, travelers are entitled to a refund and, if applicable, compensation.

Travelers may cancel the contract without paying a cancellation fee before the start of the organized trip in exceptional circumstances, for example in the event of serious security problems at the destination likely to affect the organized trip.

In addition, travelers may cancel the contract at any time before the start of the organized trip by paying an appropriate cancellation fee.

If, after the start of the organized trip, it is not possible to provide significant elements of the trip as agreed, suitable alternatives must be offered to the traveler at no additional cost. The traveler may cancel the package tour contract without paying a cancellation fee if the services are not performed according to the terms of the contract, this non-conformity significantly affects the execution of the package tour, and the organizer does not remedy this deficiency. Travelers are also entitled to a price reduction and/or compensation for damages in case of breach or deficient execution of travel services. The organizer must provide assistance if a traveler is in difficulty. These functions are exclusively for operators who execute and provide services during the trip, as well as agencies that guarantee these services. If the organizer or retailer is declared insolvent, payments will be refunded. If the organizer or retailer is declared insolvent after the start of the package tour and if transportation is included in the package tour, repatriation of travelers is guaranteed. All these rights are granted by the agency that executes and provides the various services of the trip. Updated February 2026
